He has opened for Frank Turner, Massive Wagons, Mark Chadwick (The Levellers), John Power (Cast/The LA's). A bit more his career he has also opened for Seth Lakeman, Big Country, Rick Witter (Shed Seven). Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), Ryan McCombs (Drowning Pool/SOiL), Tony Wright (TerrorVision), Pet Needs, among many others & has been playing shows across the UK, Australia, Germany, The Netherlands, France, Ireland, & parts of Asia & America, playing to anyone, anywhere at anytime.

It's Treacle Market this Sunday in our lovely town and in True Button fashion, we have 2 amazing acts lined up for you. Our doors swing open at 12 noon as we introduce Ayanam Udoma to the ground floors stage (aka our lovely window) he's been on the voice you know!! On some well know Welsh fellas team called Tom Jones. Ayanam's voice will seduce your ears and your heart as he carries you away with his silky voice. Playing familiar tunes from the likes of Paulo Nutini, Macy Gray and Paul Simon to name a few. He will play from 12-2pm then we follow with The Waterside upstairs in the live lounge from 2:30pm -4:30pm. The Waterside are a fantastic indie pop trio, bringing all the energy, all the classics and all the foot tapping you can handle. This is a family friendly afternoon, your furry pals are welcome too!!

Storytelling songs and cynical social commentary meet in the performances of Chris Tavener.

His theatrical style delivers lyrics written from the perspective of flawed characters; drawn from the bitter and humorous parts of 21st century life. His often comedic words set to original folk and rock melodies have generated unique comparisons from Bob Dylan to Flight of the Conchords, to Jake Bugg and Tim Minchin.
Originally from Northwich in Cheshire, Tavener has toured across the UK, Ireland and Europe with his songs being heard on BBC 6 Music and multiple BBC Introducing stations. He’s popular for his live performance that has seen him sharing the stage with Super Hans, Tony Hadley and Peter Hook while also writing songs for the likes of Sir Ian McKellen.

Tavener's debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival came in 2024, with a one-man show entitled ‘Chris Tavener is Faking Cool’. 15 evenings in August were met with a slew of four and five star reviews and a string of sold out shows. The success of the run led to an invitation to support folk songwriter Gaz Brookfield on tour, as well as rock ‘n’ roll legend, John Otway.

Born in Liverpool and staunchly proud of his heritage, with roots grounded finally in Macclesfield.

Best described as Gothic Americana, his passion for roots and Southern Rock coming from the exposure to Woody Guthrie and Hank Williams, then in adolescence the Stones, Faces, CCR and his biggest influence Steve Earle. He blends the songwriting passion and politics of Earle and Guthrie, stepping at times into a more romantic side and groove of Southern Rock.

Little Sparrow, aka Katie Ware, formed in 2010. Her debut album 'Wishing Tree' (2014) got airplay on BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, and more. She performed at major festivals like Manchester International Festival and supported artists such as Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman. In 2016, Katie filmed live videos with 360-degree tech and played Kendal Calling Festival. She was named 'New Artist of The Year' by Laurel Canyon Music. After a brief hiatus in 2018, she released the EP 'Just 3'. In 2019, she released the single 'Corner Of The Room'. In 2020, she released 'Tears,' written by her father Mick Ware, who was sampled by Tyler the Creator in 2019.
