MyCWA, formerly known as Cheshire Without Abuse. A Cheshire-based charity supporting individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.
From a helpline, crisis accommodation and recovery programmes, to practical support and behaviour change programmes; their whole family service is designed to help everyone impacted by domestic abuse.

They believe in building a community where adults and children live free from the fear of domestic abuse and, for almost 50 years, the staff and volunteers have worked tirelessly towards this vision.

Join us this Sunday for the extremely talented Little Sparrow.

Little Sparrow, aka Katie Ware, formed in 2010. Her debut album 'Wishing Tree' (2014) got airplay on BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, and more. She performed at major festivals like Manchester International Festival and supported artists such as Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman. In 2016, Katie filmed live videos with 360-degree tech and played Kendal Calling Festival. She was named 'New Artist of The Year' by Laurel Canyon Music. After a brief hiatus in 2018, she released the EP 'Just 3'. In 2019, she released the single 'Corner Of The Room'. In 2020, she released 'Tears,' written by her father Mick Ware, who was sampled by Tyler the Creator in 2019.

After years of playing in bands and performing the same songs with the same faces, Karl — aka KaTo — created KaTo & Co.: a project built on variety, energy, and collaboration with special guests. You may already know him from some of Macclesfield’s standout groups, including KaTo & JoE and, more recently, Macclesfield's favourite, Macc Woodfleet.

This time, he’ll be joined by the incredible Grace Haydon from the ever-popular local band Cherry Red. Together, their voices will blend into rich harmonies, backed by Karl’s signature “one-man-band” style — singing while playing guitar, stomping the pedal, and even keeping rhythm with a tambourine at the same time.

Expect an afternoon of soulful harmonies, dazzling guitar work, and infectious percussion. If you’ve never seen Karl in action before, you’re in for an absolute treat!

Penny Sharman is inspired by wild landscapes and relationships between the seen and unseen. She is a published poet, photographer, artist and therapist. Penny has a MA in Creative Writing from Edge Hill University, has had poems published in The North Mslexia, Candlestick Press, Northern Gravey and many others. She reached shortlists for The Bridport Prize, 2023 and the Michael Marks Environmental Poet of the year prize 2023. She was highly commended in the Fool of Poetry Chapbook competition in 2024 and highly commended in Manchester Cathedral's Poetry Competition 2024. She reached the shortlist for 15 of the Live Canon Poetry Competition 2024. The Christie at Macclesfield benefits patients from Cheshire, the High Peak area of Derbyshire and parts of North Staffordshire who would normally have to travel long distances for their cancer treatment at The Christie. This means they will be able to receive their treatment closer to home.

The Christie at Macclesfield will treat patients with the most common cancers like breast, bowel, and lung. Patients with rare and complex cancers will continue to be treated at The Christie in Withington.

While you’re at The Christie at Macclesfield, you will remain under the care of your Christie consultant. You’ll continue to receive regular appointments for medical reviews either at the main Christie site or at The Christie at Macclesfield.

The £26 million development at The Christie at Macclesfield is the third in a network of local Christie radiotherapy centres where patients can access first-class radiotherapy treatments from Christie experts, but much closer to home. The other centres are in Oldham and Salford.

In addition to providing 12,500 radiotherapy appointments a year, The Christie at Macclesfield will transform cancer care, delivering local specialist access to chemotherapy, holistic support and information services, outpatient care, palliative care, counselling and complementary therapy and a wider range of clinical trials than at present.

The centre will provide 46,000 patient appointments and visits each year and provide care closer to home for more than 1,500 patients a year.
