We're delighted to welcome Alexander Hulme to the Button Warehouse for our next Sunday Session.

Praised by Sir Paul McCartney and with over a million streams to his name as a songwriter, producer and guitarist, Alex brings a unique blend of folk, indie and acoustic storytelling inspired by artists such as Noah Kahan and Ben Howard.

Expect an afternoon of beautifully crafted originals, familiar songs reimagined in his own style, and performances that shift effortlessly from intimate and understated to rich and powerful.

The show takes place in our dedicated upstairs listening room and will be streamed live to the downstairs bar, making it easy to enjoy wherever you choose to settle in.

A talented singer-songwriter and acoustic performer from Macclesfield, Harrison has a knack for turning every performance into an experience. With infectious energy, crowd participation, and a setlist that effortlessly moves between rock, country, indie, folk, pop, punk, and Americana, there's truly something for everyone.

Whether you're singing along, tapping your feet, or picking up one of Harrison's famous percussion instruments and getting involved, you're guaranteed an afternoon of great music and great atmosphere.

We meet once a month to sing for joy, connect with others, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making music together. These friendly, welcoming sessions are all about feeling good, having a laugh, and leaving lighter than when you arrived.

You don’t need any singing experience to come along. Many people who join us haven’t sung since school or don’t consider themselves singers at all. There are no auditions, no solos, and no need to read music — everything is taught by ear in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.

After the singing, you’re warmly invited to stay and socialise. We’ll have our own dedicated space at Button Warehouse where you can relax, chat, and enjoy excellent coffee, tea or cake together. Refreshments are available to purchase from the café and are not included in the ticket price.

The melodic rock of SCATTERCHILD is best summed up by two words: sad yelling.

Drawing on the emotionality of Radiohead, the spikiness of The Strokes, and the theatrical pomp of David Bowie, SCATTERCHILD's music is rife with frenetic beats, intricate instrumentation and powerful vocals. 

A known and respected figure within the Manchester scene, the project released their debut album An Everyday Landscape in 2024. It was supported by a highly popular tour, high-concept music videos, a sold-out album launch show, and a live session filmed in a church. They followed it up with an expanded deluxe version in 2025, released by indie label Bread Records. 

Fresh off the release of their debut album, they are writing and preparing music for their brand new album, which has received support from the GMCA in its creation.

With all the media attention around Isaac at the moment we are expecting this afternoon session to be very busy, so we will open the listening room at 12pm to ensure you all find a seat, and if you can't get in upstairs the performance will also be streamed live downstairs in the main bar.

No stranger to The Button Warehouse, we're incredibly proud to welcome Isaac back on Sunday 7th June at 2:30pm for Day 157 of one of the most ambitious challenges we've ever seen an independent artist undertake.

Isaac has committed to performing a live show every single day throughout 2026. That's 365 consecutive days. No manager. No label. No safety net. Just a talented songwriter, a guitar, and an unwavering belief in his music.

Funding the journey himself, Isaac is travelling the country playing wherever he can—grassroots venues, pubs, community spaces, support slots, and pop-up events—all while releasing new music and documenting the highs and lows of life on the road.

His dedication has already earned national attention, including recognition in a House of Lords debate, a rapidly growing fanbase, and even the possibility of a US tour later this year.

This isn't just another gig. It's a chance to witness a truly remarkable artist in the middle of an extraordinary journey.

Having had the artwork created at Button Warehouse, Harrison felt it was only appropriate to have the launch show here, as well as having the producer of his new single Alexander Hulme play too, as well as one of his favourite songwriters Nicky Phillips. 

Here's a bit about the artists: 

Harrison Rimmer: 

Harrison Rimmer is a singer songwriter hailing from Fleetwood & grown in York, bringing a sound that combines heartfelt rock with country grit & a grunge bite. He has opened for Frank Turner, Massive Wagons, Mark Chadwick (The Levellers), John Power (Cast/The LA's). A bit more his career he has also opened for Seth Lakeman, Big Country, Rick Witter (Shed Seven), Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), Ryan McCombs (Drowning Pool/SOiL), Tony Wright (TerrorVision), Pet Needs, John Otway, The Blockheasds among many others. He has been playing shows across the UK, Australia, Germany, The Netherlands, France, Ireland, parts of Asia & America, playing to anyone, anywhere at anytime. All this earning him the title as one of the hardest working musicians in the UK today. 

Alexander Hulme : 

Alexander Hulme is a singer-songwriter known for his introspective lyrics, understated vocal style, and a sound that blends modern indie folk with subtle pop sensibilities. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, Hulme's music often explores themes of identity, relationships, and quiet moments of self-reflection. His songwriting is marked by a poetic honesty, pairing evocative storytelling with stripped-back instrumentation that allows emotion to take center stage.

Emerging from the UK's independent music scene, Hulme has steadily built a following through intimate live performances and a growing catalogue of releases that resonate with listeners seeking authenticity. Nicky Phillips:

For Nicky Phillips, music is a thread that connects the memories and moments that she shares through her songs on both guitar and piano, weaving together indie, folk and pop. She uses it to craft touching melodies and rhythms that wrap around you like a warm blanket; her voice switches effortlessly between delicate and powerful, having been described as Sarah McLachlan meets Gabrielle Aplin by way of The Cranberries. Her lyrics, likewise, are intimate explorations of her thoughts and experiences fashioned from heartfelt confessions of love, self-doubt, gratitude and loss.

Swiftly following her first single Echo in 2021, Nicky independently released her debut self-titled EP, leading to her music being featured on BBC Music Introducing. The song Home, from the same EP, reached the semi-finals of 'The UK Songwriting Competition' and has since garnered tens of thousands of streams across multiple platforms. Nicky completed her first UK tour in 2024, featuring shows in London, Bristol, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Cambridge and Manchester. Nicky continues to release new music and is releasing her new, self-produced, EP in early 2026.

Half British, half Czech, Nicky describes herself as a Londoner whose heart has found its home in the north of England. She has appeared at well-known venues across England, such as Manchester's Matt and Phred's, Liverpool's Prohibition Recording Studios and London's The Bedford; she recently supported Ben Ottewell (of Gomez) at a sold out show in Nantwich, Cheshire and has previously supported Kate Nash in Camden, London. Nicky started 2025 strong by headlining a show in Cheshire as part of Independent Venue Week. Having attended multi-platinum songwriter Andrea Stolpe's first UK retreat, Nicky is now putting additional focus into performing and co-writing with other musicians from around the world alongside her solo work. Nicky takes any opportunity to play further afield, performing in places such as the USA, Czech Republic and Barcelona; she was even invited by the British and French embassy to headline a show in Niamey, Niger.

Tim Gambles is a Tasmanian-born, North East–based alternative rock artist and multi-instrumentalist who is fast establishing himself as one of the UK’s most compelling new original voices. His music draws inspiration from the contradictions of modern society, weaving together influences from the natural and industrial worlds. ABOUT JOEL

With one hand placed firmly in Pop, Rock and Groove and the other in Trad, Roots and Folk, Joel’s music is built on infectious melodies, introspective lyrics and intricate guitar playing. His songwriting style and sound is often compared to the likes of Paul Simon and Frank Turner while drawing on influences from guitar virtuosos such as Andy McKee, John Gomm and John Butler.

Joel’s music celebrates the simplicity of one man and a guitar. Despite its stripped back instrumentation, Joel throws out an enormous sound for a one man operation using only a kick drum and percussive guitar playing. Performing live, his shows are an explosion of positive energy, charisma and showmanship honed from relentless gigging; singing self penned songs that are sometimes quirky, sometimes sad and often energetic, heartwarming and poignant.

Joel has supported US Chart topping band ‘The Revivalists’, James Gillespie and Axel Flovent amongst many others. Over the years Joel’s music has won him an array of awards including the ‘Danny Kyle Award’ at Celtic Connections, Wath Festival’s ‘Young Performer Of The Year Award’ and ‘Manchester’s Got Busker Talent.’

God & Star Signs, his most recent release is an anthemic yet bittersweet folk rock song exploring themes of dementia and lost love underpinned by Joel’s signature intricate guitar playing. God & Star Signs was self produced and released independently and the music video was filmed by Joel himself in a Welsh seaside village telling the story of an elderly care home resident escaping to revisit the beach where he and his wife fell in love.

This months event supports the amazing WINDYWAY TRUST, celebrating 20 years of helping animals in need. Based in Macclesfield, they rescue animals and aid the Peak District mountain rescue teams with search dogs. They also manage a pet food bank for the community. Let's come together to celebrate and support these wonderful heroes and their incredible work for our beloved animal friends.

Rob Crampton is a Manchester based singer-songwriter. His musical style has been likened to songwriters such as Neil Young and Bob Dylan with his soulful vocal delivery and story telling style of songwriting. Katie and the Bad Sign are a Manchester-based rock band known for their punchy guitar sound, bold attitude, and high-energy live performances. Rooted in the city’s rich alternative and indie heritage, the band mixes gritty riffs with catchy melodies and sharp, honest lyrics. Fronted by Katie’s distinctive vocals, their music balances raw rock intensity with moments of emotional depth, creating songs that feel both powerful and relatable. As they continue to play venues across the UK and build momentum in the Manchester music scene, Katie and the Bad Sign are gaining attention as a band to watch in the city’s new generation of rock acts.

Carlos Grassot is a Spanish singer-songwriter who went to the UK to pursue his dream of becoming a professional musician.

At the age of 21, he left his family, friends, and his village in Spain (Palamós) to go to London and begin learning from the best musicians. After a year and a half of intense life experiences, he moved to Liverpool where he wrote his first EP, 'Farewell the child'. The EP is a collection of past memories that helped him take a big step towards adulthood, including his time in London.

Currently, Carlos has a family and has released his second EP, 'Farewell the world', which criticizes our society in various ways. Due to his new life as a father, he is also in the process of writing and recording two EPs, 'Welcome the child' and 'Welcome the world'. All together, these will form a 16-song album titled 'The Child and The World'.

Carlos will be performing upstairs in the listening room at 2:30pm and the event will be streamed live to the downstairs bar.

The Live Lounge is located upstairs. Our downstairs bar opens from 5:00pm, with upstairs access available from 7:50pm.

Please note: the Live Lounge is a listening room while performers are on stage, so we ask that all guests respect the music and artists.
