Our Sunday Sessions welcome the outstanding Ashley Sherlock back to the Listening Room on Sunday 1 November.

A true Northern powerhouse from Manchester, Ashley combines soaring vocals, memorable melodies and accomplished guitar playing to create a sound that is unmistakably his own.

With his roots firmly planted in the blues—and a previous nomination for Young Blues Artist of the Year, Ashley brings a fresh, modern energy to every performance. Moving effortlessly between Americana, classic rock and blues, his music is driven by powerful songwriting and an exceptional vocal range.

Ashley’s talent caught the attention of internationally renowned Ruf Records, who released his acclaimed debut album, Just A Name, in 2023. The album received an impressive 9/10 review from Classic Rock.

Gather your friends, discover a new favourite or settle into a familiar game in our atmospheric, Halloween-dressed venue. There’ll be a selection of games from Hodgepodge’s regular games nights, plus tables for Magic: The Gathering. You’re welcome to bring your own games too.

Gordon the Toad : Magical Animals (TICKETED)

From magical hounds and enchanted moles to firebirds and lost dragons, Gordon will take children on an interactive storytelling adventure filled with ancient magic and modern mayhem.

And the magic doesn’t stop with the stories. Children will also get creative, making their own folded-card magical animals inspired by the tales.

Join Gordon the Toad for an interactive storytelling adventure, where the children help create the story as it unfolds. Every twist, turn and magical surprise is made up together in the room, making each session completely unique.

Each child will receive a drink on arrival and some sweet treats to enjoy.

1pm or 2.30pm. 75-minute sessions. Ages 5+

A wonderfully immersive half-term afternoon for young witches, wizards and magical-creature lovers. Fancy dress is very much encouraged.

DANES MOSS TRUST CHARITY QUIZ - (Pre booked tables)

Our monthly charity quiz returns this October, helping to raise vital funds for another important local cause in Macclesfield.

This month, we’ll be supporting Danes Moss Trust, a local charity working to ensure the Danes Moss peatlands are restored and conserved for current and future generations to enjoy.

The Trust works to protect the site’s richly diverse wildlife and safeguard its precious peatland and biodiversity. Through education, research, fundraising and partnerships with other organisations, it is helping to create a future in which Danes Moss remains an important community asset—strengthening both nature conservation and community wellbeing across Macclesfield and the surrounding area.

Get ready to rock 'n' roll with Snowdrop, the 4-piece Indie Rock sensation, straight out of Macclesfield. Famous for their electrifying performances and spellbinding melodies, they've been leaving their footprints all over the Manchester's music scene. After lighting up the stage at the Manchester Academy and other Northern UK venues, they're now tuning their guitars for an encore, with more gigs lined up in Manchester and a grand finale in London later this year. Their debut single "Diamond" sparkled in the musical sky, and their latest track "Silhouette" continues to stir the Indie Rock pot.

We’re delighted to welcome Macclesfield singer-songwriter Harrison Wyatt back to the Listening Room on Sunday 4 October.

Harrison brings much more than a brilliant acoustic set. His performances are lively, spontaneous and wonderfully interactive, with plenty of opportunities for the audience to sing along, join in and become part of the afternoon.

Expect an eclectic mix of rock, country, indie, folk, pop, punk and Americana, all delivered with Harrison’s unmistakable energy and personality. You may even find yourself handed one of his famous percussion instruments!

Bleeding Just To Know You're Alive - live at the Button Warehouse, Macclesfield on Saturday September 26th! A show that I am very ambitiously calling my debut to "stand-up" "comedy" and no, I'm not scared. You are. Shut up. What?

The pseudo-sequel to my award-winning 2025 MADS Studio production - Morality, Mortality & Mentality - it’s a show about life, death, the concept of being, discovering who you are and whether or not you embrace it, living, laughing, loving and everything in between (well, not quite everything but if you’re a fan of 1971’s Decimalisation of the Great British Pound and my Grandad Ricky, boy howdy, you won’t believe your luck). There’s gonna be anecdotes, weird analogies, self-deprecation, grit, maybe some cross-dressing and it might get a little bit uncomfortable at times but that’s life. That’s what all the people say. If nothing else, I can personally guarantee that good times might possibly be had.

Joining me all the way from Glasgow, Scotland will be the incredible Tia Rey, fresh off a month long run of performing Oot Ma Banger at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Tia is an absolute firecracker with immense stage presence and storytelling ability and she’s better than me in every single way. Needless to say, you’re in for a treat. Blending folk-rock with atmospheric indie, Luke creates a sound that's both hypnotic and full of soul, carried by a wonderfully distinctive gravelly voice that demands your attention.

His music has been featured multiple times on BBC Introducing, with his songwriting praised for its storytelling and ability to take the listener along for the journey.

A familiar face on our stage — and an artist who even chose our Live Lounge for his recent album launch — Harrison has become a wonderful part of the live music story here at The Button Warehouse.

Hailing from Fleetwood and raised in York, his sound brings together heartfelt rock, country grit and a touch of grunge, backed by years of playing to audiences across the UK and around the world.

Along the way he's opened for some incredible names including Frank Turner, Big Country, Seth Lakeman, Mark Chadwick of The Levellers, John Power of Cast and The La's, and Rick Witter of Shed Seven.

He's earned a reputation as one of the hardest-working musicians on the UK circuit — and if you've seen Harrison perform here before, you'll know exactly why we love having him back.

There’s something very special about watching James Biddulph JNR perform.

A gifted storyteller and wonderfully distinctive guitarist, James has a way of drawing you into his songs — pairing beautifully crafted lyrics with an intricate playing style influenced by the unique tunings of Nick Drake.

His music moves between intimate, thoughtful songwriting and unexpected psychedelic twists, with every song carrying its own story, character and sense of place.

His original work, including Taking Names, Cautionary Tale and Best We Can Get, showcases a songwriter who isn't afraid to explore, experiment and let a song unfold at its own pace.

Any Joy? Is an international collaborative project between Nagoya based musician and university professor Ikko Shibayama and Liverpool based singer songwriter Ali Horn. 

Formed in the summer of 2024, from a chance meeting at a folk event at the Jacaranda in Liverpool, the two met, exchanged songs and influences, hit it off and were compelled to spent the last year recording their debut album. 
Unlike the recent trend of digital transfer and online recording, Ikko traveled back and forth between Japan and the UK to record everything physically.

Any Joy? blend Japanese and British sounds, swirling City Pop, Folk sensibilities with Horns poetry perfectly complimented by Shibayama’s arrangements. 
Quirky and experimental…or rather, it’s not eccentric at all. Rather, it successfully blends the sometimes contradictory traditional Japanese and British rock styles, resulting in a unique, genre-less sound.

Over the next year, they plan to release a single, an album, and hold concerts in the UK and Japan. Soon the Any Joy sound will cross the ocean and resonate all over the world.
