Having performed with us on several occasions as part of our three-song artist showcases, we're delighted to welcome him back — this time taking the stage for his debut full gig at The Button Warehouse.

Blending folk-rock with atmospheric indie, Luke creates a sound that's both hypnotic and full of soul, carried by a wonderfully distinctive gravelly voice that demands your attention.

His music has been featured multiple times on BBC Introducing, with his songwriting praised for its storytelling and ability to take the listener along for the journey.

But live is where Luke really comes into his own. He's a songwriter who gives everything to a performance — heartfelt, raw and completely invested in every song.

We've loved watching him perform at Live Lounge, and now we get the chance to hear so much more.

We're always happy to welcome Harrison Rimmer back to Button.

A familiar face on our stage — and an artist who even chose our Live Lounge for his recent album launch — Harrison has become a wonderful part of the live music story here at The Button Warehouse.

Hailing from Fleetwood and raised in York, his sound brings together heartfelt rock, country grit and a touch of grunge, backed by years of playing to audiences across the UK and around the world.

Along the way he's opened for some incredible names including Frank Turner, Big Country, Seth Lakeman, Mark Chadwick of The Levellers, John Power of Cast and The La's, and Rick Witter of Shed Seven.

He's earned a reputation as one of the hardest-working musicians on the UK circuit — and if you've seen Harrison perform here before, you'll know exactly why we love having him back.

There’s something very special about watching James Biddulph JNR perform.

A gifted storyteller and wonderfully distinctive guitarist, James has a way of drawing you into his songs — pairing beautifully crafted lyrics with an intricate playing style influenced by the unique tunings of Nick Drake.

His music moves between intimate, thoughtful songwriting and unexpected psychedelic twists, with every song carrying its own story, character and sense of place.

His original work, including Taking Names, Cautionary Tale and Best We Can Get, showcases a songwriter who isn't afraid to explore, experiment and let a song unfold at its own pace.

With years of live experience, including time with The Red Kites and The Brand New Mornings and support slots for John Power and Chris Helme, James is completely at home on stage.

Any Joy? Is an international collaborative project between Nagoya based musician and university professor Ikko Shibayama and Liverpool based singer songwriter Ali Horn. 

Formed in the summer of 2024, from a chance meeting at a folk event at the Jacaranda in Liverpool, the two met, exchanged songs and influences, hit it off and were compelled to spent the last year recording their debut album. 
Unlike the recent trend of digital transfer and online recording, Ikko traveled back and forth between Japan and the UK to record everything physically.

Any Joy? blend Japanese and British sounds, swirling City Pop, Folk sensibilities with Horns poetry perfectly complimented by Shibayama’s arrangements. 
Quirky and experimental…or rather, it’s not eccentric at all. Rather, it successfully blends the sometimes contradictory traditional Japanese and British rock styles, resulting in a unique, genre-less sound.

Over the next year, they plan to release a single, an album, and hold concerts in the UK and Japan. Soon the Any Joy sound will cross the ocean and resonate all over the world.

Ashley Sherlock is a Northern powerhouse from Manchester – combining catchy vocal
melodies and a dynamic rhythm section to create his unique signature sound.
With a distinctive blues origin to his music (previously nominated as Young Blues Artist of the
Year), the latest material represents a modern outlook on the on music scene with a fantastic
vocal range and songwriting style. Perfectly amalgamating genres across americana, classic rock and blues to name but a few.

Ashley Sherlock caught the attention of the internationally recognised Ruf Records who oversaw

the release of the stunning debut album “Just A Name” in summer of 2023.

We meet once a month to sing for joy, connect with others, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making music together. These friendly, welcoming sessions are all about feeling good, having a laugh, and leaving lighter than when you arrived.

You don’t need any singing experience to come along. Many people who join us haven’t sung since school or don’t consider themselves singers at all. There are no auditions, no solos, and no need to read music — everything is taught by ear in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.

After the singing, you’re warmly invited to stay and socialise. We’ll have our own dedicated space at Button Warehouse where you can relax, chat, and enjoy excellent coffee, tea or cake together. Refreshments are available to purchase from the café and are not included in the ticket price.

We’re trained to recognise the signs and symptoms of domestic abuse.

When you contact us, we’ll assess the needs of your family members and help you respond to practical issues involving things like housing, legal aid and finances.

We can provide temporary, safe crisis accommodation for those in immediate danger who need to urgently escape from domestic abuse.

We run the Lily Jones Support Centre, where families can access drop-in advice, legal clinics and a range of support groups and recovery programmes.

We also offer counselling and specialist children’s support programmes.

Every new story has to start somewhere, and we'd love you to join us for an evening of four brand new works presented as rehearsed readings.

The programme features three new plays and the opening episode of a proposed TV series, all written by local writers and brought to life by a talented cast of actors.

These aren't the finished articles—they're works in progress. It's a chance to be there at the very beginning, see new writing take shape, and perhaps say one day, "I saw that when it was first performed."

Join Erika Olson & Tai Shan with special Guest Aerynn for a special night at Button Warehouse on Thursday, 9 July.

Blending Americana, folk, and intimate singer-songwriter storytelling, Erika and Tai bring a live show that moves easily between heartbreak, humour, family life, road stories, and the kinds of songs that make a room go completely quiet in the best possible way.

Erika Olson has been building a devoted following through her emotionally incisive songwriting, disarming stage presence, and performances across the UK and Ireland. Tai Shan brings extraordinary musicianship, warmth, and soul to the stage, creating a live show that feels less like a performance and more like being invited into a conversation.

With a “breathtaking voice” that “lulls you into a blissful trance”, Aerynn is a singer-songwriter who transcends musical boundaries as well as geographical ones.

If you love artists like Lori McKenna, Joni Mitchell, Brandi Carlile, Gillian Welch, or John Prine, this will likely be very much your kind of night.

Spanish Sunday at The Button Warehouse | Sunday 5th July

This Sunday we're bringing a little bit of Spain to The Button Warehouse.

From 12–5pm, Louise from Spanish Caravan will be serving authentic Spanish tapas and paella in our courtyard. Founded in Macclesfield in 2016, Spanish Caravan has become known for bringing beautiful Spanish food to weddings, celebrations and pop-ups, all inspired by the simple joy of sharing good food with good people. As they celebrate their tenth year, we're delighted they're joining us for this special Sunday.

We'll also have live music throughout the afternoon from Spanish singer-songwriter Carlos Grassot. Originally from the coastal town of Palamós, Carlos moved to the UK to pursue a career in music, and his thoughtful, heartfelt songs have been shaped by that journey, family life and the world around him. His music is the perfect accompaniment to a lazy Sunday afternoon.

There's no need to book – just come along, find a table and settle in.

Food will be served from 12–5pm, we're open until 6pm, and as always, everyone is welcome. Bring the family, meet up with friends or simply drop by for a glass of something and a plate of paella.

Community and live music have always been at the heart of what we do, and we can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday.

Made up of cellists Rob and Jordan, 2Fellos was born from a shared love of music and a belief that great music belongs everywhere. Their motto, "Music is Music", shapes every performance, blending classical masterpieces with contemporary favourites, unexpected arrangements and the stories that bring them to life.

Whether you're a lifelong classical music fan or simply curious to experience something different, 2Fellos create a relaxed and engaging atmosphere that makes the world of classical music feel accessible, entertaining and full of surprises. Having performed across venues throughout the UK, from pubs to clubs and everything in between, they bring not only exceptional musicianship but also plenty of personality to the stage. And yes, before you ask, they know the name sounds familiar.

 Just Drop-In is a registered charity (1081416) that supports children and young people aged 11-25 who live in the north of Cheshire East (Macclesfield, Bollington, Wilmslow, Knutsford and Poynton.) Their expertise and operating model is embedded in Early Help and Prevention. All of the services are free of charge.

They are here to help and support children and young people who are finding life hard. They have a heartfelt commitment to improve their mental health and wellbeing, helping them to find their feet.
