There’s something very special about a Treacle Market Sunday in Macclesfield — and this November, we’ll be rounding off the day with the wonderfully talented James Biddulph JNR at our Sunday Sessions.

After a wander around the market, come upstairs to our Listening Room, settle in with a drink and enjoy an afternoon of beautifully crafted original music.

James is a gifted storyteller and wonderfully distinctive guitarist, pairing thoughtful lyrics with an intricate playing style influenced by the unique tunings of Nick Drake. His songs move effortlessly between intimate storytelling and unexpected psychedelic twists, each with its own character and sense of place.

His original work, including Taking Names, Cautionary Tale and Best We Can Get, showcases a songwriter who isn’t afraid to explore, experiment and allow a story to unfold.

With years of live experience, including time with The Red Kites and The Brand New Mornings, as well as support slots for John Power and Chris Helme, James is completely at home on stage.
