THE SUNDAY SESSIONS FT. JOEL GARDNER

THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE UPSTAIRS IN THE DEDICATED LISTENING ROOM AND BE STREAMED LIVE TO THE DOWNSTAIRS BAR.

ABOUT JOEL

With one hand placed firmly in Pop, Rock and Groove and the other in Trad, Roots and Folk, Joel’s music is built on infectious melodies, introspective lyrics and intricate guitar playing. His songwriting style and sound is often compared to the likes of Paul Simon and Frank Turner while drawing on influences from guitar virtuosos such as Andy McKee, John Gomm and John Butler.

Joel’s music celebrates the simplicity of one man and a guitar. Despite its stripped back instrumentation, Joel throws out an enormous sound for a one man operation using only a kick drum and percussive guitar playing. Performing live, his shows are an explosion of positive energy, charisma and showmanship honed from relentless gigging; singing self penned songs that are sometimes quirky, sometimes sad and often energetic, heartwarming and poignant.

Joel has supported US Chart topping band ‘The Revivalists’, James Gillespie and Axel Flovent amongst many others. Over the years Joel’s music has won him an array of awards including the ‘Danny Kyle Award’ at Celtic Connections, Wath Festival’s ‘Young Performer Of The Year Award’ and ‘Manchester’s Got Busker Talent.’

God & Star Signs, his most recent release is an anthemic yet bittersweet folk rock song exploring themes of dementia and lost love underpinned by Joel’s signature intricate guitar playing. God & Star Signs was self produced and released independently and the music video was filmed by Joel himself in a Welsh seaside village telling the story of an elderly care home resident escaping to revisit the beach where he and his wife fell in love.

With support from the incredible Nocebo and Henry Wright.

Tim Gambles is a Tasmanian-born, North East–based alternative rock artist and multi-instrumentalist who is fast establishing himself as one of the UK’s most compelling new original voices. Gambles has already made a striking impact, earning international radio play, rave reviews, and a growing reputation as a formidable live performer.

His music draws inspiration from the contradictions of modern society, weaving together influences from the natural and industrial worlds. Through emotionally charged song writing and expansive alternative rock arrangements, Gambles explores both the beauty and the unease that arise where these forces coexist. The result is a multifaceted sound that is immediate, immersive, and deeply resonant.

Since releasing his original music again in the summer of 2025, Gambles has toured extensively across the UK, quickly building momentum as a live artist capable of converting casual listeners into dedicated fans. His recent single ‘Gravedigger’, a soaring and anthemic alt-rock release, has further cemented his reputation, following the critical acclaim received for earlier release ‘Story Told Wrong’. Both tracks have been championed by international radio and praised for their emotional weight and song writing maturity.

March 2026 sees Gambles take his live show into Europe with dates across the Netherlands and Germany, followed by an extensive UK tour throughout May and June, marking a significant step in his evolution as a touring artist. With a newly signed artist management deal and further releases planned, his trajectory continues to accelerate.

Before relocating to the UK, Gambles built a strong live reputation in Australia, performing multiple times at Tasmania’s Festivale, a 10,000-capacity event including mainstage appearances, and becoming a recognised name within Melbourne’s live music scene. That experience now underpins a confident and commanding stage presence that translates powerfully to UK and European audiences alike.

With ‘Gravedigger’ out now on all streaming platforms and YouTube, and a packed touring schedule ahead, Tim Gambles is firmly positioning himself as a rising force within the UK alternative rock landscape, one whose story is only just beginning.

HARRISON RIMMER - BETTER IN FICTION ALBUM LAUNCH **TICKETED**

Button Warehouse Proudly Presents, Harrison Rimmer new single launch "Better In Fiction".

THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE UPSTAIRS IN THE DEDICATED LISTENING ROOM

BUY TICKETS HERE

Having had the artwork created at Button Warehouse, Harrison felt it was only appropriate to have the launch show here, as well as having the producer of his new single Alexander Hulme play too, as well as one of his favourite songwriters Nicky Phillips.

Here's a bit about the artists:

Harrison Rimmer:

Harrison Rimmer is a singer songwriter hailing from Fleetwood & grown in York, bringing a sound that combines heartfelt rock with country grit & a grunge bite. He has opened for Frank Turner, Massive Wagons, Mark Chadwick (The Levellers), John Power (Cast/The LA's). A bit more his career he has also opened for Seth Lakeman, Big Country, Rick Witter (Shed Seven), Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), Ryan McCombs (Drowning Pool/SOiL), Tony Wright (TerrorVision), Pet Needs, John Otway, The Blockheasds among many others. He has been playing shows across the UK, Australia, Germany, The Netherlands, France, Ireland, parts of Asia & America, playing to anyone, anywhere at anytime. All this earning him the title as one of the hardest working musicians in the UK today.

Alexander Hulme :

Alexander Hulme is a singer-songwriter known for his introspective lyrics, understated vocal style, and a sound that blends modern indie folk with subtle pop sensibilities. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, Hulme's music often explores themes of identity, relationships, and quiet moments of self-reflection. His songwriting is marked by a poetic honesty, pairing evocative storytelling with stripped-back instrumentation that allows emotion to take center stage.

Emerging from the UK's independent music scene, Hulme has steadily built a following through intimate live performances and a growing catalogue of releases that resonate with listeners seeking authenticity. His work reflects a careful balance between vulnerability and craftsmanship, positioning him as a thoughtful voice among a new generation of singer-songwriters.

Nicky Phillips:

'Nicky Phillips's beautiful, sincere vocals and organic melodies create an idyllic atmosphere.' - Tonic Grain

For Nicky Phillips, music is a thread that connects the memories and moments that she shares through her songs on both guitar and piano, weaving together indie, folk and pop. She uses it to craft touching melodies and rhythms that wrap around you like a warm blanket; her voice switches effortlessly between delicate and powerful, having been described as Sarah McLachlan meets Gabrielle Aplin by way of The Cranberries. Her lyrics, likewise, are intimate explorations of her thoughts and experiences fashioned from heartfelt confessions of love, self-doubt, gratitude and loss.

'Nicky's voice is like a good friend whispering pretty things in your ear.' - Indie Music Centre

Swiftly following her first single Echo in 2021, Nicky independently released her debut self-titled EP, leading to her music being featured on BBC Music Introducing. The song Home, from the same EP, reached the semi-finals of 'The UK Songwriting Competition' and has since garnered tens of thousands of streams across multiple platforms. Nicky completed her first UK tour in 2024, featuring shows in London, Bristol, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Cambridge and Manchester. Nicky continues to release new music and is releasing her new, self-produced, EP in early 2026.

'The talented songstress has shown her skilful capability to conjure a hypnotic experience for the listeners.' - A Song in Life

Half British, half Czech, Nicky describes herself as a Londoner whose heart has found its home in the north of England. She has appeared at well-known venues across England, such as Manchester's Matt and Phred's, Liverpool's Prohibition Recording Studios and London's The Bedford; she recently supported Ben Ottewell (of Gomez) at a sold out show in Nantwich, Cheshire and has previously supported Kate Nash in Camden, London. Nicky started 2025 strong by headlining a show in Cheshire as part of Independent Venue Week. Having attended multi-platinum songwriter Andrea Stolpe's first UK retreat, Nicky is now putting additional focus into performing and co-writing with other musicians from around the world alongside her solo work. Nicky takes any opportunity to play further afield, performing in places such as the USA, Czech Republic and Barcelona; she was even invited by the British and French embassy to headline a show in Niamey, Niger.

Their three albums ‘Hour Of Need’, ‘Gaslight Roses’ and ‘Deadbeat Lullabies’, all received universally glowing reviews upon release and they have been performing to increasingly more appreciative audiences ever since including festival appearances at The British Country Music Festival, Moseley Folk Festival and Pub in the Park. The band also recently toured the UK as special guests of Kiefer Sutherland and The Long Ryders.

Their sound has echoes of Dylan & the Band, Gram Parsons and Bruce Springsteen whilst maintaining a unique quality that is singularly their own. Centred around the twin vocals of Boardman and Tennessee born Helen Walford, the band is perfectly complimented by the fine playing of musicians Gary O’Brien (piano & Hammond organ), Emily Doggett (fiddle), Jim Broughton (bass) and Emily Bailey (drums).

The band’s recent compilation album ‘Bourbon Hymns’ and accompanying single and video ‘This Little World’, were released in October 2024 on Parade Recordings. The fourteen tracks were written by the band’s songwriting partnership of Boardman and non-performing member BBC Radio and TV presenter Mark Radcliffe; David’s yearning melodies perfectly complimenting Mark’s nuanced, observational lyrics.

In 2026, Isaac is taking on an ambitious and gruelling challenge: performing a live show every single day of the year. The project shines a spotlight on grassroots venues, the power of local music communities, and the value of pure hard graft—bringing live music back to its raw, authentic roots.

Follow his journey across Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok as he travels venue to venue, building momentum one show at a time.

THE SUNDAY SESSIONS FT KATO & GRACE

Join us this Sunday at 2:30pm in the Live Lounge (upstairs) for an unforgettable afternoon of live music with KaTo & Co. featuring Grace Haydon.

After years of playing in bands and performing the same songs with the same faces, Karl — aka KaTo — created KaTo & Co.: a project built on variety, energy, and collaboration with special guests. You may already know him from some of Macclesfield’s standout groups, including KaTo & JoE and, more recently, Macclesfield's favourite, Macc Woodfleet.

This time, he’ll be joined by the incredible Grace Haydon from the ever-popular local band Cherry Red. Together, their voices will blend into rich harmonies, backed by Karl’s signature “one-man-band” style — singing while playing guitar, stomping the pedal, and even keeping rhythm with a tambourine at the same time.

Expect an afternoon of soulful harmonies, dazzling guitar work, and infectious percussion. If you’ve never seen Karl in action before, you’re in for an absolute treat!

Family & Dog friendly.
This event will get busy due to these 2 well knows musicians joining forces so get in early. We open 12-6pm with last orders 5:20pm
